Nozawa Onsen is a hot spring district located in the northern part of Nagano Prefecture where you can still find a traditional townscape in the countryside.
You can enjoy cuisine with a focus on edible wild plants and vegetables that are the blessings of the mountains from spring to autumn. Nagano Prefecture is also known for being an area with heavy snowfall in winter. You can enjoy the whole mountain at Nozawa Onsen Ski Resort. Of course, you will also find the hot spring culture of Japan here. You can enjoy indoor and open air baths with hot water flowing freely from the source in our inn. In addition, our hot spring inn, which has been in existence since it was established in 1912, is a building in the style of a Japanese private house. The traditional atmosphere of Japan remains in our inn to this day. This is very popular with our guests.
The hot water in our inn flows freely from our own source.
The hot springs that overflow from our bathtubs will of course wash your sweat off clean. In addition, these hot springs will heal you from the core of your body that has been tired by skiing and mountain climbing. Our indoor bath has a high ceiling with the atmosphere of a traditional outdoor bath in Nozawa Onsen. Our large rock open air bath is an open space. You may encounter Japanese bush warblers in spring, the magical light of fireflies in summer, mountains with red leaves in autumn and an open air bath where you can view the snow in winter. Please make sure to experience each of the four seasons in Nozawa Onsen.
The cuisine at our inn is rustic food with a focus on the blessings of the mountains in the four seasons.
We serve dishes that can only be eaten in this region since you have come all the way to Nozawa Onsen. Our cuisine is rustic and homemade with the blessings of the mountains. However, we have cuisine courses that allow you to feel the season by taking advantage of the tastes of the ingredients. Please enjoy the flavors of Japan and the flavors of a mountain village in Nagano Prefecture.
Our inn was founded in 1912 and has been repeatedly expanded and renovated into its current form.
You will see a ceiling with an open atrium, large stairs, large beams and thick pillars as soon as you enter the entrance to our inn. The whole of this building is a valuable construction that would be difficult to reproduce nowadays. We have shiny polished floorboards and stairs that make a slight squeaking sound. This is a good old Japanese inn. Our rooms are all in the pure Japanese-style. We have rooms that overlook the courtyard and rooms that overlook the street. Please enjoy the Japanese culture of this inn.
